Last night I went with [info]magi_balthasar to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra play the music of Final Fantasy as part of the Dear Friends concert series. I had a good time; we went to a nice, but hard to find, Japanese restaurant for dinner beforehand, and I'm glad Josh was driving because I am not so good at keeping calmish when I am driving and not sure where I'm going.

The music was good. They had a chorus to sing "Liberi Fatali" and "One-Winged Angel" as an encore. There was a glossy program you could buy, but I didn't think it was worth twenty dollars. We saw a couple people coming in costume (a little girl in a Yuna costume and a girl I think was supposed to be Vincent), a bunch of people in t-shirts and shorts, some "gothed-up" people, and someone who seemed to be wearing a prom dress and a feather boa. Not your usual symphony-going crowd, I guess. XD Some of the orchestral versions I'd heard before, from albums I'd downloaded acquired legally, but they did some new stuff, too--a song from FFXI and from Advent Children, as well as a nice version of "You're Not Alone." I hope they release a CD when the tour's over. Uematsu wasn't there, but there was a recorded message from him that was apparently to be played at all of the concerts. The conductor looked to be having fun with the music, which was good.

I went to see the doctor Friday and she says I probably have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She said I should take a fiber supplement to help with that, and prescribed some different medications for my allergies, and told me I need to drink more fluids, and get more salt because my low blood pressure is what's been causing my lightheaded-and-nauseated spells I've been getting. Hopefully, if I do all that and get a little more active, I'll feel a lot better. That would be nice.
